Privacy policy

ViralTiks (viraltiks.com) makes tools that help businesses plan TikTok content and ads. We decide how your personal data is used, so we are responsible for it. Contact us any time at hello@viraltiks.com.

Only what we need to run your account:

• Your account: email address, name if you give it, and a scrambled (hashed) password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
• What you give each tool: descriptions, website links and TikTok links you paste in, and the results we produce for you.
• Your answers to our three welcome questions: whether you run ads, where you sell and your language.
• Credits and payments: your plan, credit balance and history. Card details are handled by our payment providers and never reach us.
• ViralTiks Studio enquiries: if you ask us to work for you, the name, work email, company, link, budget and details you send, so we can reply and prepare a proposal.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't sell data.

• To run the tools you ask for and keep your results so you can reopen them.
• To send you emails you need: confirming your address, resetting your password, and receipts.
• To stop abuse, such as people opening many free accounts.
• To work out what each result costs us, so prices stay fair.

If you upload a video or image, we delete it within 24 hours of processing and keep only the written result. We never post to your TikTok account and never ask for your TikTok login.

Only the services that run ViralTiks for us, and only what each needs:

• Google (Gemini): processes what you submit to a tool so the AI can write your result.
• ScrapeCreators: looks up public TikTok profiles, videos and ads you ask about.
• Resend: sends our emails.
• Stripe and Paystack: take payments when paid plans are open.
• Our hosting provider: stores the database our app runs on.

Some of these are outside the UK and EU. Where they are, they protect your data with standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

We keep your account while it is open. Your results are kept so you can reopen them from History:

• Results from free tries on the Free plan: 7 days, then deleted.
• Results you paid for with credits, and everything made on a paid plan: 12 months from the day you made them, even if you cancel.
• ViralTiks Studio enquiries: 24 months, so we can follow up, then deleted. Ask us and we'll delete yours sooner.

When you delete your account, we delete it and everything in it straight away. Backups are overwritten within 14 days.

You can, at any time:

• Download everything we hold about you, from Settings.
• Delete your account and everything in it, from Settings.
• Correct your details, from Settings, or ask us to.
• Object to how we use your data, or ask us to limit it.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO). We'd like the chance to fix it first.
